About Leon
A senior portfolio manager, team leader and investment committee member. I specialise in direct equity allocations for private client portfolios and equity analysis for UK focused investment committees. I have a keen interest in the relative strength of business models.
Having worked at Hargreave Hale for 20 years- a leading smaller-companies investment house- I became part of Canaccord when Hargreave joined Canaccord Wealth back in 2017. My role has expanded from core portfolio management to include committee memberships for stock selection and UK equity models.
Maintaining direct relationships with executive level board members has been key. We manage accounts for PLC board members, former PLC executives, unlisted senior executives and their wider families.
In March 2014, I was appointed lead manager of ISFL Bowland Fund, formerly MFM Bowland. In 2018, the Fund won best UK Equity Fund for three and five years in the annual Thomson Reuters Lipper Award.
