About Alexandra
After completing my Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) degree I originally intended to start my career in the City of London. However, my plans changed when I fell in love with Guernsey. I initially worked for the Guernsey Financial Services for four years where I was involved in prototyping the GFSC’s first machine learning tools and collaborating with the GFSC’s Director General on strategy and operations.
Having grown up in a family of entrepreneurs, I have always been interested in the stories behind companies, what problems they solve, and what makes them a good (or bad) investment. This led me to join the company in 2023.
I hold the CFA UK Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and have passed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I and Level II exams.
Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors and try to make the most of everything our island has to offer, from sea swimming to surfing and sailing. I even competed in the 50th Rolex Fastnet yacht race in 2023. I am a keen hockey player and coach the Under 14 girls, which is rewarding and challenging in equal measures!
