About Matthew
Having been interested in financial markets from an early age (I think my first purchase was British Airports Authority (BAA) at aged 14), I jumped at the chance of joining the company graduate scheme on my return to the island following University and a ski season in Chamonix. After spending time working in various departments, I felt my skills were best suited to stockbroking and joined the desk in 2006.
I have been Head of the Guernsey stockbroking desk since 2012. Certain aspects have changed greatly, such as the systems we use and market infrastructure, however, the general nature of markets, our commitment to client service and the protection of client assets remains the same as ever. I count myself very lucky to be working in a team of committed professionals, using a world-class platform, and with an enviable client base. I have never been more excited about the firm's future than I am today.
